HEIRLOOM REDESIGN

Your gold can become your next heirloom.

Bring us the gold jewelry you treasure but seldom wear. Together, we can give it a new form: a substantial pendant or ring shaped around your life, with the meaning of the original close at hand.

Working with your own gold

Your gold may come from an inherited wedding band or a broken chain. It can hold a connection long after the original piece has stopped being worn.

At Haus McGregor, we begin with that connection. We consider what you want to carry forward and how you want the new piece to feel. The design is made for you, with attention to its weight, proportions, and comfort.

We assess customer-supplied gold before agreeing how it can be used. Its purity, condition, and available weight help determine the options. Some projects need additional gold or further preparation.

If keeping the actual gold from a particular piece matters to you, tell us at the outset. We explain the proposed approach and provide a quote before work begins.

From heirloom to everyday companion

01. Share the pieces and the story

Tell us what you have, what it means to you, and whether you imagine a pendant or ring. Photos of the pieces and any visible gold stamps help us begin the conversation.

02. Assess the gold and shape the design

We arrange an assessment and discuss the design with you. Once the material requirements and scope are clear, we provide a quote and an estimated schedule.

03. Approve the design, then begin the craft

With your approval, the piece moves into the workshop. Hand-carved wax, traditional casting, and careful finishing give the new jewelry its individual character.

A few practical questions

Can you use broken gold jewelry?

Broken chains, damaged rings, and other gold pieces can be considered. Suitability is confirmed after assessment.

Can several pieces become one?

We can explore that possibility. The gold content and composition of each piece need to be assessed before an approach is agreed.

How much does a redesign cost?

Each project is quoted individually. Design work, metal requirements, and any stone setting or specialist work contribute to the price. Supplying gold may reduce the amount of new metal needed; the craftsmanship remains part of the commission.

Can you include an existing gemstone?

Tell us about the stone when you enquire. We assess its condition and suitability for the proposed design before including it in the quote.

How long will it take?

We provide an estimated schedule with the quote. The design, material preparation, and workshop availability determine the timing.

YOUR REDESIGN
